Superior immunoassay performance utilising paramagnetic labels - MagneticImmunoAssay (MIA).

Magnasense has developed a sensitive, simple and elegant system for performing lateral flow immunoassays utilising paramagnetic particles as labels.

Biological materials contain no background magnetism, enabling great sensitivity, while the elimination of chemical, enzymatic and fluorescent reagents simplifies the assay procedure.

The magnetic label interacts directly with the reader’s electronics eliminating the need for light sources and optics.

The above factors provide a uniquely sensitive, robust and inexpensive system.

The system is widely applicable. Quantitative, Near Patient / Point of Care (POC) assays and tests can be rapidly developed with high sensitivity and dynamic ranges of over four decades.
Healthcare applications include cardiac monitoring, e.g. hsCRP and infectious diseases, e.g. viruses.

Outside healthcare, assays can be developed for other applications where rapid results are required, such as veterinary testing, and food and environmental contamination

Mainstay is a unique venture-backed active implantable medical device company with a new proprietary device for treatment of people with chronic low back pain. Results from a European Feasibility Study developed very encouraging results.

Mariachi Oy is a privately owned Finnish technology company specializing in development and contract manufacturing of advanced devices or instruments for professional use.

Our customers are recognized suppliers of medical devices, industrial systems and information technology. We focus on European customers with product portfolios comprising devices that range from hand-held to table-top units. More than 20 such customers are currently exporting devices developed and/or manufactured by Mariachi to more than 50 countries around the world.

Medxense offers accurate continuous glucose monitoring for the intensive care unit (ICU). Normalization of patient blood glucose allows hospitals to reduce mortality and patient length of stay. 

The patented sensor technology platform is the only in the field to offer both high accuracy and near-instantaneous measurements in the hypoglycemic range, necessary for safe normalization of blood glucose.

We are now looking for an investment of 3 MUSD to fund clinical trials in the 2nd half of 2014. Expected exits are trade sale or IPO.

2. Mendor Balance - a cloud-based glucose profiling & diabetes management platform for clinics, HCPs & diabetics.
